State of the Union Address 11-16-09

This is my weekly State of the Union Address, delivered on my radio show.

My fellow Americans, there is a break in one of the big steps to further socialize this nation along with the rest of the world, but a temporary break at best. I say further socialize because, lets be honest, we already are socialist.

Need proof? I thought you would.

Here are the 1928 planks of the American Socialist Party; what they wanted to achieve to further Socialism in the USA.

 1.  “Nationalization of our natural resources, beginning with the coal mines and water sites, particularly at Boulder Dam and Muscle Shoals.” (Boulder Dam, renamed Hoover Dam, and Muscle Shoals are now both federal government projects.)

2.  “A publicly owned giant power system under which the federal government shall cooperate with the states and municipalities in the distribution of electrical energy to the people at cost.” (Tennessee Valley Authority.)

3.  “National ownership and democratic management of railroads and other means of transportation and communication.” (Railroad passenger service is completely nationalized through Amtrak. Some freight service is nationalized through Conrail. The FCC controls communications by telephone, telegraph, radio, and television.)

4.  “An adequate national program for flood control, flood relief, reforestation, irrigation, and reclamation.” (Government expenditures for these purposes are currently in the many [non-adjusted] billions of dollars.)

5.  “Immediate government relief of the unemployed by the extension of all public works and a program of long range planning of public works …” (In the 1930s, WPA and PWA were a direct counterpart; now, a wide variety of other programs are.) “All persons thus employed to be engaged at hours and wages fixed by bona-fide labor unions.” (The Davis-Bacon and Walsh-Healey Acts required contractors with government contracts to pay “prevailing wages,” generally interpreted as highest union wages.)

6.  “Loans to states and municipalities without interest for the purpose of carrying on public works and the taking of such other measures as will lessen widespread misery.” (Federal grants in aid to states and local municipalities currently total [non-adjusted] tens of billions of dollars a year.)

7.  “A system of unemployment insurance.” (Part of Social Security system)

8.  “The nation-wide extension of public employment agencies in cooperation with city federations of labor.” (U.S. Employment Service and affiliated state employment services administer a network of about 2,500 [in 1980] local employment offices.)

9.  “A system of health and accident insurance and of old age pensions as well as unemployment insurance.” (Part of Social Security system, and now proposed by the Pelosi Bill.)

10.  “Shortening the workday” and “Securing to every worker a rest period of no less than two days in each week.” (Legislated by wages and hours laws that require overtime for more than forty hours of work per week.)

11.  “Enacting of an adequate federal anti-child labor amendment.” (Not achieved as amendment, but essence incorporated in various legislative acts.)

12.  “Abolition of the brutal exploitation of convicts under the contract system and substitution of a cooperative organization of industries in penitentiaries and workshops for the benefit of convicts and their dependents.” (Party achieved, partly not.)

13.  “Increase of taxation on high income levels, of corporation taxes and inheritance taxes, the proceeds to be used for old age pensions and other forms of social insurance.” (In 1928, highest personal income tax rate, 25 percent; in 1978, 70 percent; in 1928, corporate tax rate, 12 percent; in 1978, 48 percent; in 1928, top federal estate tax rate, 20 percent; in 1978, 70 percent.)

14.  “Appropriation by taxation of the annual rental value of all land held for speculation.” (Not achieved in this form, but property taxes have risen drastically.)

Lets not kid ourselves. Last week I showed you how close we were to finishing Karl Marx’s dream of Marxism in America. Now, I present to you that despite not having finished all of Marx’s dream, we are already a very Socialist nation. It is only the belief of the blind that says otherwise.

From a 1944 Norman Thomas speech, who ran for President on the Socialist platform:

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism.

But, under the name of “liberalism”,

they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program,

until one day America will be a socialist nation,

without knowing how it happened.”

“I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party.

The Democratic Party has adopted our platform.”

Welcome to the United Socialist States of America, the USSA. And oh, it is going to get worse soon. The next big step toward further socialization has been slightly delayed, but, believe me, it is only a delay for now.

From Reuters:

US President Barack Obama and other world leaders on Sunday supported delaying a legally binding climate pact until 2010 or even later, but European negotiators said the move did not imply weaker action.

French Environment Minister Jean-Louis Borloo said it was clear the main obstacle w3as the United States slow progress in defining its own emissions cuts.

“The problem is the United States, there’s no doubt about that,” Borloo, who has coordinated France’s Copenhagen negotiating effort, told Reuters in an interview.

“It’s the world’s number one power, the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases, the biggest per capita emitter, and it’s saying, “I’d like to but I can’t.” That’s the issue,” he said.

Danish and Swedish officials said they wanted all developed countries including the United States to promise numbers for cuts in emissions in Copenhagen. The US Senate has not yet agreed to carbon-capping legislation.

What does this mean to us? Well, my fellow Americans, it means that, for a while, we are still a sovereign nation, and we have not allowed ourselves, yet, to send all our money to other countries. Notice the jealousy in the French Environment Minister’s statement. Like so much of the rest of the world’s people, the first thing he though of when he thought of America was not even remotely about the environment. His first statement, “The problem is the United States…It’s the world’s number one power.”

Do you think that was simply coincidental? No. The rest of the world wants us to be like them. They want us to be dependent on other nations, like they are. Self-sufficience, which our President and the powers in Washington with all the voting majorities in our legislature will not allow us to have, is a distant dream of all the other nations in the world.

But, in this country, we could be self-sufficient, if we were allowed to develop our own energy sources by our tree-hugging government. If we could drill in ANWR, and everywhere else we know we have massive deposits of oil and natural gas, if we could dimply tap the resources we already know we have, we could power ourselves for hundreds more years without outside assistance.

Think about it. We have the technology to be self-sufficient. What major inventions HAVEN’T come from America in the last few hundred years? We have the economy; if the government would leave it the hell alone and let it correct itself. We have the room; The middle of this country is still full of huge, wide open spaces for people to settle. We even have the food production, if the Californians would turn on their water in the San Juaoquin Valley, to feed ourselves. But notice, in every situation where there is an issue, who is standing in the way.

The economy ruined by, and now even further controlled by; the government. Food production blocked by; the government. ANWR and other natural resource drilling blocked by; the government.

Our own government will not allow us to be self-sufficient because if they can siphon our money to the rest of the world, they gain more control over us.

You see, as with many of the things I talk about, it is the government’s strategy to control all of this nation that is our biggest threat as Americans. Nobody has the balls, or the ability, to attack us legitimately. Even in our great recession now and during the Great Depression of the 30′s, Americans still had food, cars, televisions… We are the envy of the world, and they all want us dragged down to their level. Our government realizes that destroying us, the people, will give them more power over us, and of course the rest of the world is happy that it is happening. Who will Americans turn to when they can no longer afford food for the first time in the history of this nation? Who will we turn to when we literally have nowhere to live that we can afford? We will sign our power over to the federal government and allow them to “bail us out” and our development into any other country in this world will be complete.

But, my fellow Americans, I am not satisfied with anything but exceptionalism out of America. I am not satisfied with not being part of the best country on Earth. I will not be happy unless we become even further advanced compared to the rest of the world. Our dollar must recover, our country must be self-sufficient, our people must be successful without government intervention.

How do we get there again, my fellow Americans? How do we become the far-and-away greatest power in the world we used to be? How we do we get our swagger back, so that massive powers crumble simply from the thought of having to fight the great USA, like the USSR did not too long ago?

The first bold step to independence for this nation, for greatness, self-sufficience, and success? It is a two step process, this first step. Two simple steps and we will be on the way to vast improvements.

Step 1 – Audit the Federal Reserve. Find out what they have been doing with our money, our interest rates, our interests. Find out how the Fed has brought this nation to its knees through controlling crises, killing our dollar, and destroying our financial system.

Step 2 – Close the Fed. Put Congress and the actual government back to work taking care of the banking and coining systems again, instead of leaving it for a non-governmental company with its own agenda. Without the inflation, deflation, boom-and-bust cycles that the Fed artificially creates, steady measurable success and wealth would improve our country again.

My fellow Americans, I implore you to see through the veiled destruction of our nation. Every time our federal government decides to supposedly improve, oversee, alter, change, transform, develop, grow, shrink, or even simply observe a situation, they destroy it. They cannot do anything right. The post office, Medicare, medicaid, SChip, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Social Security… The list goes on and on. But for all the damage they have done, the Federal Reserve has done much much more. It is the Federal Reserve that has advised the government on all of its financial programs and decisions. Do you think all those decisions go bad because the Fed just constantly makes mistakes. NO. The only ones always screwing up are the government officials, for listening to the Fed. No, the Fed gives bad advice, supports bad ideas and programs not on accident, but because they want it to fail. But why would they want it to fail? Because every time the government thinks it needs money, where do they go? They borrow it from the Fed, and then let the Fed tell them how to invest it, and then once they lose the money they borrow more, and let the Fed advise them, again, on where to put it, WHERE THEY WASTE IT AGAIN! HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF ANYTHING SO STUPID?

My fellow Americans, it is time, now is the time, to get rid of the Federal Reserve. We must make it a priority for whomever we elect in 2010 to the House and the Senate. MAKE THEM AGREE TO DO IT! We will never recover or improve until the Fed is no more in charge of our country and its money.

My fellow Americans, stand up with me and take down the Federal Reserve. It is our only chance at becoming the only greatest world power again, and our only chance of being successful again as well.

God bless you, my fellow Americans, and God bless America.
