This is the transcript of my weekly State of the Union Address, as delivered on my radio show.
My fellow Americans, according to the federal government, after 35 years of telling women that they should get mammograms every year, and that those should begin at age 40, they have changed their advice to beginning testing at 50 (a full 10 years later) and now say testing should occur every other year. Additionally, the government now recommends pap smears for women to begin at 21 instead of 18, and, as long as no evidence of cervical problems is found, to have tests every other year in their 20s, and every 3rd year in their 30s (instead of every year as previously advised).
But, my fellow Americans, you may ask “Why is this important?” Because now we know that the federal government, the omnipotent Big Brother, even before a final healthcare bill has been passed, has already begun to ration our care. They are already cutting the costs of taking care of American citizens, and we can now expect more of the same to filter down through the pipeline to all of us unintelligent non-elites.
But will Obama, his family, and the members of Congress and all the rest of the government officials also abide by these rules despite their Mercedes health plans? Of course not.
Ask me, my fellow Americans, if there is a way this could get worse. Ask me, my fellow Americans, if they could possibly make this even harder for us. Ask, my fellow Americans, if I always have to answer my own questions. The answer to all 3: You better believe it.
This is just the first 2 in a long line of the cost-cutting, benefit-shaving, people-are-numbers mentality that has dominated the Marxist mindset for years. We are not individuals to them, we are numbers. We do not have sovereignty in our states, in our cities, not even in our country any more after Copenhagen, and we sure as hell do not have sovereignty in our very own lives and bodies.
We will shortly become the herd, the flock, the immeasurably inconsequential throng of dependents on a government that cares not for our safety, our borders, our lives, or even our health. To save a buck, they would rather you die of cancer or some other disease that could have been caught early. That, they will tell us, is what makes it better for the rest of us. For just as surely as they will tell Medicare people that they should not weigh down the system, through the death panels that ARE IN THESE BILLS, they will tell the rest of us that we should not harm the system with our illnesses either.
My fellow Americans, this idea has been mis-labeled. This is not the proverbial Nanny State that so many on the right have warned us of. This is not the Welfare State that we are afraid is growing too big within our own country. No. My fellow Americans, this is the Tribulation State that is now forming. Perhaps it is not of the Bible’s prophesied tribulation period, but it is a tribulation none the less. We will be shoe-horned into taking everything this government tries to heap on us with taxes, absorb all the torturous degradation of being changed from free individuals to a conquered people, and we will continually give away our freedoms, our God-given natural rights and our belongings until these people finally turn us into the one thing they have striven for in America since its founding.
My fellow Americans, once these bills pass, we are on the road to never-ending enslavement of our people, by our government, to afford some sort of benefits to those who refuse to earn it. It is with your vote in 2010 that we can reverse this.
And believe me, my fellow Americans, we will have to REVERSE this. This plan is coming to fruition: this healthcare nonsense WILL PASS. What we have to do afterward is make sure its time passes also.
God bless you, my fellow Americans, and may God have mercy on the people of this once-great nation.
